Huawei has released the first official teaser for the Watch D3, confirming that its next blood-pressure-focused smartwatch will arrive with a noticeably slimmer design. The Watch D line is unusual because it attempts to provide more serious blood-pressure monitoring than the simple optical estimates offered by many mainstream wearables. Earlier models achieved that through hardware resembling a miniature inflatable cuff integrated into the strap, but the required mechanism made them relatively bulky.
Huawei is now explicitly addressing that weakness. The Watch D3 teaser shows a thinner casing, a larger display and familiar controls including a rotating crown. The device is expected to be formally presented on September 2 alongside other Huawei mobile products. Health wearables are moving into a more demanding phase as manufacturers add features that users may interpret as medical information rather than casual fitness data.
Accuracy, regulatory approval and clear communication therefore matter as much as design. If Huawei can make the D3 substantially more comfortable without sacrificing measurement quality, it could broaden the appeal of continuous blood-pressure monitoring.
