Realme will launch the P4s 5G on August 26, positioning the device as another performance-oriented mid-ranger built around enormous battery capacity. Current details point toward an 8,000mAh battery, 80W fast charging, a 144Hz display and MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra-class processor. Those specifications are particularly attractive to mobile gamers.
A 144Hz screen provides additional responsiveness for games capable of high frame rates, while the unusually large battery addresses the biggest drawback of sustained gaming on a phone: rapid power consumption. Fast charging helps compensate for the longer refill time normally associated with such a large cell. The P4s also illustrates how features once confined to dedicated gaming phones are moving into ordinary mid-range hardware.
Consumers no longer need an aggressively styled device with shoulder triggers simply to obtain high-refresh displays and large batteries. Final pricing will determine how disruptive the P4s actually becomes, but Realme has historically competed aggressively on specifications. Tomorrow's launch should clarify camera hardware, software support and regional availability alongside the final price.
