South Korean indie developer LemonVelvet is preparing to open crowdfunding for ZombiSeed on September 10. The iOS and Android project combines visual-novel storytelling, relationship building and tactical card battles inside a post-apocalyptic world where an infection called Blossom transforms people into beautiful but dangerous Flower Zombies. Players become a teacher at an elite Hunter Academy and build relationships with several students and faculty members while attempting to survive the outbreak.

The protagonist's name and gender can be customized, giving the relationship system more flexibility than many character-driven mobile RPGs. Combat uses collectible cards representing different actions and abilities, creating a strategic layer beneath the narrative structure. The combination of romance, botanical horror and card combat is unusual enough to make ZombiSeed immediately recognizable in a crowded market.

Because LemonVelvet is a small team, the Kickstarter campaign could significantly influence the final amount of content, localization and production polish. The project is currently targeting a 2027 release, giving crowdfunding supporters a relatively early look at its development.
