Arknights: Endfield is using Gamescom 2026 to increase its visibility with a dedicated booth, playable demonstrations and themed installations. The cross-platform RPG expands the Arknights universe into large 3D environments while combining real-time combat with exploration, character collecting and an unusually elaborate industrial production system. Players construct facilities, connect resource-processing chains and automate parts of their base rather than simply returning to a static menu between battles.

That mixture of action RPG and factory management remains one of Endfield's most distinctive ideas, and Gamescom provides another chance for players to judge whether those two halves actually complement each other. The mobile version is especially interesting because complex factory interfaces and multi-character combat can easily become uncomfortable on a small touchscreen. Hypergryph therefore needs a control scheme that works naturally without sacrificing the depth shown in PC demonstrations.

Arknights already has an established global audience, so Endfield does not need to introduce the franchise from scratch. Its real challenge is convincing those fans that this much larger production can retain the strategic character of the original.
