Niantic is now Scopely Explore, which is a huge identity shift for the studio behind Pokémon GO. The Niantic name carried years of AR, walking and map-based gaming history, but after Scopely’s acquisition, the brand is moving under the Scopely umbrella. Pikachu may still walk. The corporate badge has changed shoes.
