Football Manager 26 finally lets international managers enjoy World Cup pressure properly

Football Manager 26 is getting a serious international-management upgrade, and it arrives at exactly the right moment for World Cup fever. The update adds a fully licensed FIFA World Cup 2026 experience, complete with tournament presentation, kits, branding, match ball, broadcast graphics and trophy celebrations. More importantly, international management is finally being expanded structurally.

The new Provisional Squad system lets managers work with a larger pool before final selection, while National Pool, National Shortlist, scouting and tactical preparation tools are all improved. Women’s national-team management is also being added, which is a big step for the series. For mobile and Netflix players, this is exactly the type of update that turns FM from club spreadsheet obsession into national-tournament heartbreak simulator.

Pick a squad, overthink everything, then blame a full-back in the 87th minute. Football heritage, basically.
